What makes him so special! [09.04.2021]
Good reasons for the Amundsen.
Experience the Amundsen, the motorhome that defines the entry into the Westfalia class.
When Westfalia built the first motorhome with the wind rose in 1951, at that time on behalf of an English officer, the task was clear. The aim was to create a vehicle that could be used in everyday life as well as for leisure and holiday purposes. This claim, which the engineers realised more than 68 years ago with the SO23, was also the basis for the development of the Westfalia Amundsen models. The result is three layouts, 5.40 metres or 6.00 metres long, which not only follow this premise exactly, but also set a benchmark due to their attractive pricing.
What they all have in common is the basis, the Fiat Ducato. While the 540D is based on the short wheelbase, the medium wheelbase forms the body for the 600D and 600E. The compact 540D is an ideal vehicle for the city and tight parking spaces. Like the 600D, it has a rear double bed that folds up for a bicycle garage. The 600E has two large single beds in the rear. The kitchen and bathroom are in the middle of the vehicles. The front bench seat, into which the driver and passenger seats can be integrated, then becomes a cosy and spacious seating area. The two 3-point seat belts in the bench seat allow up to four people to travel safely in the Amundsen.
